TIPLINE

For many years now, we have been in partnership with WPVI-TV6 in the Delaware Valley. WPVI reports crimes on the CRIMEFIGHTERS report on Tuesdays at 11 PM and repeats it on Wednesdays at 5 PM. Calls are taken by trained operators, and always with the callers safety at the top of the list. We take pride in our anonymity guarantee. We at the Commission want to make a difference by helping law enforcement, but NOT at our callers expense.

When a caller calls the TIPLINE at 215-546-TIPS (8477) operators will ask questions pertaining to the crime. If it was reported on WPVI-TV6, the operator will probably be familiar with the case. If the information was not previously given, or can add to the case, the caller will receive a seven digit code number and may qualify for a reward if one is posted on that particular crime. At no time will the operator ask for the callers name, phone number or address. Remember, YOU MUST CALL THE COMMISSION’S TIPLINE TO QUALIFY FOR REWARDS!!

HOW REWARDS ARE FUNDED: Many times, a victim’s family and/or friends will post a reward. In other instances, a company or community group will help out. You can help out in this regard by making a tax deductible contribution to the Crime Commission.  With your help we are able to add funds to deserving cases.  We’re also a member of the UNITED WAY DONOR OPTION program, where your donation is deducted directly from your paycheck. Our United Way number is 04041. Ask about United Way donations at your payroll or personnel office.
